STONE AND BRICK WORK
Vertical Stone Work
This slideshow shows the difference between the rocks we use in our vertical work. The stone we work with depends on the clientele, be it flat, bulbous or other. Our walls have held up against weather and time.
Granite Stone Wall
This granite stone wall of a Durham Point, NH residence can be seen more clearly in the first picture of the next gallery (below, right).
Juniper Hill Landscaping builds fieldstone walls, dry-stone walls, and mortar-backed walls. Our walls blend into the New England landscape to define your borders, outline your patio, or retain your bank of soil. Our masons are very knowledgeable about the different types of rocks and how to fit them into your landscape.
Rollinsford, NH Landscape
Though our trucks have been updated, our flat work is timeless. This brick patio with bluestone lay-ins and a cobblestone boarder is just beautiful.
Vegetable Gardens in Paver Patio
This Greenland, NH residence features two raised garden beds surrounded by a paver patio. The garden beds are built out of untreated wood with a liner to help retain vitality in the wood. The pavers form a nice boarder to the driveway.
We work with you to design the perfect patio for your space. Size, shape, materials and your budget are the most important factors we consider when planning. Your patio should be welcoming and functional, with room for tables, chairs, family and friends.
Riverbed Cobblestone Walkway
This Porsmouth, NH residence has a beautiful riverbed walkway in front of it. We chipped and cracked cobblestones to make them fit in a flowing pattern out to the driveway.
Cat in the Walkway
This cat seems to like the work we've done at this Dover, NH residence. These clay bricks are technically pavers, and fit so tightly there is no stone dust between them. Granite curbing lines the walkway.
Our walkways come in many different forms, including creative bluestone walkways, formal brick entries, functional paver sidewalks and informal stone paths. Our walkways can be bordered with shrubs and greenery, cobblestones, or both.
Barrington, NH Stone Sculpture
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's a beautifully laid-out scenery at a Barrington, NH residence. Three large vertical granite piers host an array of top stones and an old grass roller lays amongst the pebbles of an ancient river. Note the beautiful Juniper tree to the right!
There's room in this website for good photography, right? JHL occasionally makes an assortment of metal sculptures. This star lies on top of a granite rock bordering a perennial garden.
Our creative stone designs include fire pits and bird baths, accent boulders, and stone sculptures. Our stone art can be a part of a larger landscape project or an accent piece for your yard.
We also construct metal railings and water features, like ponds and waterfalls. Click here for a live video of a pondless waterfall.
Large Granite Steps
Juniper Hill installs rock steps of all sizes. These are large steps made from irregular granite.
Tall Bluestone Steps
Juniper Hill can build a variety of steps into a slope. Here, we used a series of bluestone steps to climb a steep, long slope.
Add accessibility to your yard or home. We install granite steps to meet any vision, design or function. Please enjoy this gallery of stone steps, including steps made with irregular granite, new granite, thin and thick bluestone.
